The JayJs
The JayJs are a girl band of year 10s at Wellington High School! As of now, they have competed in Rockquest two times, once getting into the finals and receiving "best original song award". They have also received the best vocalist and audience choice awards at the WHS battle of the bands.

Lux
Lux is a 5 piece indie rock/alternative band based in Wellington. Influenced by local acts such as First Reserve, Dropper and Half/Angel, Lux's sound combines math rock, power pop/indie rock and elements of midwest emo to form a developing, yet mature sound.

Obsidian Sun
Obsidian Sun started as a high school project, replicating a bluesy, 70s classic rock sound, yet incorporated other influences, ranging from indie to punk to goth. Every band member is a multi-instrumentalist, and the music shows it: they are not limited to any one genre, and everyone takes part in each step of the creative process. Their sound and artistry is heavily inspired by bands that they collectively enjoy, such as Black Sabbath, The Cure, and Radiohead. Their music fluctuates between heavy and dreamy, somber and upbeat, coming together for a listening experience like a rollercoaster: with highs and lows, yet exhilarating all the way.
